Paul W. Wachtler

The story:

A founding member of TPWG was invited to an investors lunch in NYC in 2012. She sat next to Paul Wachtler through the lunch and presentations.  She was looking for funding for her start-up and engaged in conversation to explain what the company did, how it worked, the plans for growth and the plans for a successful exit.  Paul, was gracious to introduce her to one of his friends / colleagues in banking who helped her understand the funding more clearly, put her plans into clearer, more strategic growth plans sharing valuable resources to help with the company's success. 

 

Paul helped many start-up founders and was one of the most gracious, patient and kindest advisors she had the pleasure to work alongside.  His expertise in business and sharing the knowledge he taught at Cornell University helped her little start-up immeasurably.
